My prom dress is very tight, mermaid style, white, and detailed with very light pink sequins. Towards my mid-thigh it poofs out and cascades to the ground. I have a prom dress that's all black and really sleek. it goes all the way up to my neck in the front but all open in the back. Also i am Asian with straight black hair. what type of hair should i do for prom?

You're going to want your hair all the way up. Possibly with some pieces in front to frame your face, but certainly nothing below your chin. You want to have a distinct gap between where your hair ends and where your dress begins. A pair of dangly earrings will play up the effect even more.

My prom is this friday and I already have my tux. The bad thing is… I ordered it with a mental picture in my head of what the dress looked like and now that I saw it again, the colors are a little different.

If the belt is beaded, I would go with black beads. Try to find something that matches the belt as to really accentuate it and make it stand out. DO NOT wear silver!

A lot of factors affect what you should wear exactly. If your dress is strapless, wear long earrings to accentuate your shoulders, but if your hair is up, I would go with a thinner strand so the earrings wont distract from the outfit.

Pearls are also a good choice if you ditch the belt, but you may want to keep the belt depending on shape of the dress so your waist wont get lost in the fabric.

My Senior prom is coming up and I don't have a dress. My parents are both unemployed and my hours have been cut at work.
